An early Islamic slip-painted ceramic bowl, Iran, Nishapur, 10th century A.D.
Details: earthenware, wheel-thrown, decoration in manganese-brown on cream ground with star-shaped interlace at the rim and
figure of standing bird in the centre. Condition: repaired clean breaks, small areas of restoration, nice age patina. Diameter:
7 ¼ inches (18 ½ cm). Height: 2 ¾ in (7 cm).
