SHAMSHIR PERSIAN SWORD DAMASCUS STEEL WOOTZ

Antique most likely 17th century Persian Sword Shamshir with extremely large and curved blade, hand forged from very
fine Damascus steel Wootz. The hilt of unusual form with grips of stag horn and shaped pommel. Steel crossguard with short
languets and long quillons of square section terminating in knob finials. The overall length in a straight lane: 36 ¾ inches
(93,4cm) and the blade is 32 inches (81cm). Condition: some corroded spots to the blade and the crossguard.
