INDO PERSIAN ISLAMIC SWORD WITH TULWAR HILT [S & D1]   A very good quality 18th century Mughal Indian sword with tulwar steel damascened hilt in silver with a peacock feather pattern on the black background. A highly unusual serpentine-shaped blade extremely well executed decorated on both side with a deeply chiseled geometrical pattern. Similar types of Islamic serpentine blades are in the Imperial collection in the Topkapi Saray Museum in Istanbul, Turkey.Overall length:32 1/4 inches (82cm).
